What is the performance of BioChain’s CNM isolation kit with regard to separation of membrane fraction (myofilaments) and nuclei in cardiac tissue? Has this kit been tested on mouse heart tissue?
We have not specifically tested the kit‘s performance for getting rid of myofilaments. We do use our kit to isolate mouse heart nuclear protein, membrane protein as standard protein lysate product, and customers have not had any problems for that. Since we don‘t have any experience for the myofilaments issue, we can not guarantee it will work. The mechanism for the kit is using hepatonic buffer to release the cytosol protein first, then using high salt buffer to release the nuclear protein, then using a buffer with detergent to release membrane protein.
