Introduction to TORCH

Biochain has developed a series of ELISA kits for TORCH test of Toxoplasmosis, CMV, Rubella, HSV. TORCH Stands for the initial letters of the five infectious-disease categories, which are toxoplasmosis, other infections, rubella, cytomegalovirus (CMV), and herpes simplex virus (HSV). The "other infections" usually include syphilis, hepatitis B, coxsackie virus, Epstein-Barr virus, varicella-zoster virus, and human parvovirus. TORCH test measures the levels of an infant's antibodies against these five groups of chronic infections.
