Introduction to Glucosidase(Analysis)

BioChain's Alpha-Glucosidase Assay Kits are designed to measure both alpha and beta glucosidase activity directly in biological samples without pretreatment. The improved method utilizes p-nitrophenyl-alpha-Dglucopyranoside that is hydrolyzed specifically by alpha-glucosidase or p-nitrophenyl β-Dglucopyranoside that is hydrolyzed specifically by β-glucosidase into a yellow colored product (maximal absorbance at 405 nm). The rate of the reaction is directly proportional to the enzyme activity.
