DNA Markers
Introduction to DNA Markers
BioChain's developed unique DNA methylation detection technology for DNA biomarkers of important diseases with great specificity and sensitivity. Genomic technologies have significantly increased the number of potential DNAs as biomarkers under study. Some of DNA-based biomarkers are single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), chromosomal aberrations, changes in DNA copy number, microsatellite instability and epigenetic regulation of transcription and translation (such as histone deacetylation, lysine-specific histone-H3 methylation, and promoter region CpG methylation). Identification of DNA biomarkers holds promise for diagnosis and monitoring of disease progression.
