Announcement of iPod Nano Raffle Winner
Hayward, California (July 01, 2010)
Congratulations! Jilla Sabeti with The Scripps Research Institute is the winner of BioChain's iPod Nano Raffle.

Jilla Sabeti has had a long-standing interest in exploring the neurobiology of substance dependence and related psychiatric disorders, which afflict growing numbers of humanity, with epidemic numbers of teenage and young adult addicts. Her studies were initiated during her Ph.D. work in the lab of Dr. Nancy Zahniser, where she studied the behavioral mechanisms triggering relapse to cocaine addiction, and continued to her post-doctorate research in Dr. Donna Gruol's lab exploring the various CNS receptor systems involved in alcohol abuse and dependence. Currently, she leads a project investigating the role of sigma-1 receptors in alcohol's effects on synaptic plasticity and memory processing in brain. For her recent publication visit: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17960647
