Job Title: Business Development Associate /or Manager

Description                                                                              BioChain Institute, Inc, an ISO 9001 certified bio/pharmaceutical solution provider, offers preclinical drug discovery services and reagents to the bio/pharma industry. BioChain’s service division focuses on non-human primate disease models, rodent cancer xenograft models and general toxicology, pharmacokinetics studies.

Currently, we are experiencing significant growth and are conducting a search for candidates of Business Development Associates and/or Manager. This will be a commission-based, field oriented position. Experience with large contract negotiation preferred. We offer attractive commissions on the large contracts.

In this position, the candidate will contribute to the Company's business growth by seeking new outsourcing opportunities and acquiring new preclinical contracts from Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology clients. The candidate will research and identify potential new clients; call on prospective clients to introduce our services in an effort to create new business relationships; working closely with the in-house support group to develop project proposals, generate detailed cost, timeline, and scope of work analysis.

Minimum Requirements                                                                                    A Bachelor's degree in a life science or related field; Minimum of 3-5 years professional experience in pharmaceuticals and/or preclinical (animal studies) CRO with a strong emphasis on business development or sales;  Strong writing, oral & presentation skills; Excellent understanding of drug discovery process, especially on preclinical animal studies.

 

Job Title: Quality Assurance Assistant

Position Summary
The QA Assistant will perform support activities for Quality Assurance to ensure achievement of BioChain's standards for quality. Comply with BioChain's policies, procedures, and quality standards as well as safety and environmental regulations. Maintain a safe, clean work environment. The QA assistant will perform a
liquoting, labeling, inspecting and QC-checking of existing products, document preparation, product inventory maintenance and finalize
packaging of shipping.

Position Details 

  1. Maintain quality assurance (ISO9001) documentation including Non-Conformance Report (NCR), Corrective And Protective Action (CAPA) report, routine equipment check.
  2. Qualify lab equipment and support equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and service plans.
  3. Collect and analyze Monthly/Quarterly report with production and business performance data.
  4. Assist QA manager to implement/upgrade QA system and conduct training to assure compliance with current regulatory requirements. Perform appropriate training of laboratory employees in their job functions. May include other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  1. BS degree in molecular biology, cell biology, Immunology, biochemistry or life science related fields.
  2. 2-3 years work experiences in biotech lab is preferred. Previous working experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control in laboratory environment is a plus.
  3. Knowledgeable or skillful with SDS page, western blot, spectrophotometer, gel spectrophoresis, PCR
  4. Basic computer skills (excel, word, PowerPoint etc.) are a must
  5. Good record-keeping and organizational skills

Job Title: Web Administrator/Marketing Coordinator

Responsibilities:
●  Coordinate with marketing team to understand bio-business requirements, design and create    commercial e-newsletters, emails and web pages to aid company’s e-marketing strategies.
●   Help promoting BioChain website and BioChain’s products using Google and Yahoo’s targeted online advertising tools.
●   Maintain, update and improve our e-commerce web site, ERP system and databases so that our customers can more easily view and order our products.
●   Create company’s promotion flyers, postcards, and product catalog using Adobe Pagemaker, Illustrator, and Photoshop, etc.
●   Provide support in evaluating, testing and implementing new Web/Internet tools and technologies.
●   Other responsibilities and tasks assigned.

Requirements:
●  Working experience in internet marketing.
●  Familiar with major media and website editing programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator,    Dreamweaver, etc.
●  Skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP are most desirable.
●  Knowledge of Flash, ASP.NET, C#.NET and SQL Sever skills is a big plus.
●  SEO experience is preferred.
●   Bachelor’s degree in CIS, CS, Graphic Design or related working experience.
●  Previous Biotech working experience or education is preferred.

Job Title: Research Scientist

Description
We are seeking an experienced Scientist with expertise in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Clinical Chemistry to join our team. Individual will participate in a research team focused on the development of clinical diagnostic reagents and kits. This position will have primary responsibility for bench science and experimental design.  Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, evaluating results relative to product requirements and program goals; preparing project summaries and reports. This role is expected to maintain familiarity with current relevant scientific literature industrial trends.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Research Scientist must be self-motivated, proactive, independent, and goal-oriented with a track record of applying knowledge and experience in solving scientific and product development issues. The ability to multi-task and to quickly learn new skills and apply previous experience and knowledge to new situations is required. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Creative thinking and strong initiative in product development
  • Will join an established Research and Development lab
  • Will be expected to add their own creativity and ideas to meld their interests with the group's current projects,
  • Will be a creative and productive scientist with experience in biochemistry, genetics, enzyme mechanisms, protein expression and molecular biology.
  • Work both independently and with a multidisciplinary team to achieve goals

Qualifications
Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or a related field with a minimum of 2 years postdoctoral or industry experience in life science research is required.

  • Prior experience in Biochemistry research in enzymatic assay.
  • Prior experience in Molecular Biology with DNA, RNA, Protein isolation and assay.
  • Prior experience in Clinical Chemistry with reagent development preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience authorships in peer-reviewed journals, patents, or equivalent demonstration of scientific creativity and accomplishments.
  • Computer literacy, strong written and oral communication skills are required.

Job Title: Production Technician

Position Summary:
Production Technician will work in a team environment to manufacture research and commercial products as well as maintain related inventories and records.

Position Details:
The successful candidate will perform SOPs involving materials measurement, materials handling and inventory control, equipment operation, and record keeping necessary to manufacture product batches. In addition to completing production and quality analysis of reagents, components and finished products in accordance with the production schedule, the candidate will communicate manufacturing problems to management and the team as well as assist in identifying variables and offering resolutions. Further, the selected individual will train and provide guidance to team members on techniques and processes.

Requirements:

The candidate should have a BS or equivalent in biology, biochemistry, immunology, pathology or related fields. Previous experience in tissue processing, sectioning of frozen and paraffin embedded tissues, staining and reading of tissue sections is required. Performing immunohistochemistry on paraffin and frozen sections of human and non-human tissue is preferred. Applied knowledge of antigen retrieval techniques and IHC amplification methods are important. Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills and an effective team working ability are required for this position. Proven ability to consistently and accurately follow detailed instructions as well as clearly communicate processes, timeliness and schedules is necessary. Solid interpersonal and problem-solving skills are essential. Experience in manufacturing and/or working knowledge of manufacturing-related product is preferred.

Job Title: Research Technician

Position Description:
R & D Division has an opening for a Research Technician to assist in product development for molecular biology, protein analysis, and cell biology. General technical support by performing a variety of technical duties including tissue collection and processing, RNA/DNA extractions, reverse transcription, quantitative PCR, protein isolation, gel electrophoresis, Western blotting, Immunohistochemistry, and bacterial/mammalian cell culturing.

Requirements:

B.S. or higher degree in Cell and Molecular Biology is required. Must be able to operate standard laboratory equipment and have hands-on experience in molecular biology and cell biology procedures. Experience with standard computer programs (e.g. Microsoft Office) is also required. Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills and an effective team working ability are required for this position. Proven ability to consistently and accurately follow detailed instructions as well as clearly communicate processes, timeliness and schedules is necessary. Solid interpersonal and problem-solving skills are essential.
